What changed

The Philippine Retirement Authority's revised SRRV processing charter, effective for applications from September 1, 2025, sets the minimum age for a principal applicant at 40. The floor was 35 under the old rules.

The Classic deposit is now USD 30,000 for applicants age 50 and above without a pension, and USD 15,000 at age 50 and above with a qualifying pension, which means proof of a lifetime pension of at least USD 800 a month for a single applicant or USD 1,000 a month for an applicant with dependents. Applicants age 40 to 49 post more: USD 50,000 without a pension, or USD 25,000 with one. The application fee is USD 1,500 for the principal, plus USD 300 per dependent.

Two older variants, SRRV Smile and SRRV Human Touch, do not appear in the current charter, which lists deposits only for Classic and Courtesy. People already enrolled under earlier schemes keep their membership; the change is in what a new applicant can join.

Who it affects

New SRRV applicants, and anyone budgeting from older published figures. Pages still citing age 35, or Classic deposits of USD 10,000 and USD 20,000, describe a program that no longer exists.
