Schengen 90/180 calculator
Short stays in the Schengen area follow one limit: at most 90 days inside the area in any 180 day window.
The rule, in plain language
Pick any day of a trip. Count the days spent inside the Schengen area across the 180 day window that ends on that day. The window moves with you, one day at a time. The total must stay at 90 or below on every single day. Entry days and exit days both count as days inside. A traveler can stay for 90 days, leave for 90 days, and return for a full new stay. Short trips add up too: two stays of 45 days each use the full allowance when both fall inside one window.
This calculator checks the arithmetic only. It does not check visa status, passport validity, or any rule of a specific country, and it is not legal advice. Border officers make the final call, so confirm close cases with an official source before travel.
